Through the week
This week has been a good week with lots of shooting. I made another page 1 which I'm super stoked about.
Here are my favorite shots.

Nepean Raiders VS Gloucester Rangers
Today I shot a CJHL hockey game. I've realized that I really enjoy the challenge of shooting hockey games. I'm going to try and shoot one every week. One thing I've noticed about shooting in the lower league rinks is the quality of the glass and the lighting. It's really hard to get a sharp picture shooting through poor quality glass. Also the lighting quality is different in every arena so it's a challenge to get perfect balanced light.

Hélène Campbell
Today I took pictures of my good friend Hélène Campbell. She has been diagnosed with what is called 'Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis'. Her lungs only function at 24 percent. Whenever she does something that involves moving around, she must always have oxygen with her. This could even be simply walking up stairs.
This disease is irreversible and the only way for this to be fixed is for her to move to Toronto and be put on a waiting list for a double lung transplant.
Even though she faces such a serious situation, she is still her fun loving self. She's honestly such a true inspiration to my life, I have never met anyone as full of life as much her.
If you want to know more about her and her story please visit this website that has been made for her to document her journey through this experience.
A Lung Story
For these pictures, I got to remove her oxygen tube. I wanted the pictures to be focused on her and not the oxygen. It amazes me that you can't even tell that anything is wrong with her when she is not wearing it.

IKEA Grand Opening
Today I shot the grand opening of the new IKEA store in Ottawa.
Free Poang chairs were given out to the first 100 shoppers inline.
A huge crowd of employees dance moments before the grand opening ceremony.

War Museum
Today I decided to go to the War Museum. Everytime I go I am deeply touched by what our Veterans have endured and overcame. If you've never been, I highly recommend going!
Here are some photos I took of my visit.

Occupy Ottawa Eviction Night
Occupy Ottawa occupiers were given an eviction notice yesterday afternoon November 21st, 2011 to be out of Confederation Park at midnight that night. Some people packed up and left but the people that take this protest to heart stayed and waited for police action. As the night went on police never showed. I was there until 4am and there was no sign of them.
They still haven't shown up.
Here is some pictures I took of the night.
I saw some occupiers making a tarp bubble to stay warm. I wanted to get warm too so I decided to partake in this.
A occupier huddles beside a heater in the back of the moving van.
Some occupiers even made a fire to stay warm and attract police attention but they never came.
