WRECK MMA Unfinished Business

I had the opportunity the other night to cover WRECK MMA Unfinished Business for the Ottawa Sun. This was an experience I'll never forget. Being right beside the cage makes the fight so much more intense, plus I shot it so it's a win win for me. Here are my favorite shots of the night plus the link to the rest of the photo's on the Ottawa Sun website.

Holly & Tony

Last weekend I had the privilege to document Holly and Tony's wedding. This was my first time shooting a wedding on my own and I was very thankful for them putting up with me. I learned a lot from this experience, things to do and not to do. I hope to shoot more weddings in the future because I really enjoy the pressure that comes with weddings to get the perfect shot. It reminds me of press photography.

Congratulations Holly & Tony. Best of wishes!!

As the shoot was going we didn't notice that Ottawa Citizen photographer Wayne Cuddington was taking pictures of us for an article. This article has nothing to do with weddings but it's still a sweet bonus for Holly and Tony! Thanks Wayne! (click to see it bigger)

Page 1

Today one of my pictures was published front page of the Ottawa Sun. I'm super stoked about it! I never thought I would make front page right now. It's super inspiring to see your image on the front page.

Election and Football

On thursday I was hired by the Ottawa Sun to help cover the provincial election. I had a lot of fun covering it, I liked having to run around everywhere in the city. I also covered two football games for the Ottawa Sun.

Ottawa Fashion Week

I was recently hired by the Ottawa Sun to shoot Ottawa Fashion Week in the Capital. Now first off I am not really a fashion person so this was a pretty cool experience for me because I had no idea what to expect. The clothing I saw over the three days were pretty crazy, but I could actually see people wearing the clothing. It wasn't like way over the top fashion.

Here are what I feel are the best shots. (I took over 3000 thousand photos)

I took way more than two back stage shots but these are the only shots that are different from everyone else's.

Model Sapphire Evraire (facing camera) gets ready to walk the runway on the third night of Ottawa Fashion Week.

Now the runway lighting, thats a whole other story I wont get into. We weren't aloud to use flash during the show. On the first night the lighting was pretty bad on the runway and you can see that in the pics, but on the third night the lighting was really good.
